Take Off for Japan....

  • Sunrise in Hartford, CT
  • Our home for the next 13-14 hours from Chicago
  • With a huge thank you to our son, who used his milage to make the trip that much more comfortable for his Mom and Dad. The view of our "home" on the 747 upper deck.
  • One last cell phone call to the kids before take off.
  • Pam sporting the finest in inflight footwear!
  • O.K... Do your job for a while!! :-)
  • Take Off for Japan....
  • Cold over Canada - frozen lakes and rivers
  • More "deep freeze"
  • More still
  • almost 5,000 miles still to go - time to grab some sleep!!
  • Well, at least we know where the lakes were near!!!
  • O.K. If you look out the left side of the aircraft a long way off, that is Los Angeles.. For with with really good eyesight that is Mexico City to the left and East a bit.
  • Large river in Canada to look up the name of! :-)
  • This became a very reassuring view!!
  • Well, that's better.... Almost 8 hours into the flight.
  • Our first view with the goal in sight!!
  • Getting ready to be "tomorrow" very quickly!!
  • Almost tomrrow!!!
  • No thank you... No detours to Siberia needed....
